September Favorites

It's that time of the month again, monthly favorites.  Let's do this...

1. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer: I've been loving using this concealer and no foundation.  I apply under my eyes and anywhere else that I need coverage and the results are amazing.

2. Josie Maran Oil: New on my PM skin care routine.  I love it so much that I have done a review on it already HERE.

3. Biore Self Heating 1 Minute Mask: I will tell you how obsessed I am with this mask.  I bought a pack last month, used and love it.  When back to buy more and couldn't find it at my CVS, so I spend one afternoon looking for it.  But don't worry found 2 packs at Rite Aid and bought both of them.

4. Bare Minerals 5 in 1 Eyeshadow: Got this a couple months ago in my Ipsy bag and for some reason this month I fell in love with it and cannot stop using it.

5. Tarte Maracuja C-brighter eye Treatment: I got a sample size to try it and I will definitely go back and purchase the regular size.

6. Covergirl Golden Sunrise Eyeshadow: It's Fall and it's time to use some gold/bronze color and I love this eyeshadow. I used it a lot last Fall and I'm totally digging in already.

7. Revlon 027 Violet Frenzy: I have been on the hunt for a purple lipstick, there is a new one from Wet 'n Wild that I want and haven't had any luck finding, but I found this Revlon one.  I love it, perfect color for Fall.

That was my favorites products this month, not much but enough.  What was your favorites?

Shoe Collection: Booties

It's Fall and it's time to start wearing your boots, all of different kinds of them.  I love boots, and may have a little too many of them.  I figure that I would do a shoe collection and what better time to start than Fall?

My shoe collection will be done in more than one post, and today I want to show you my booties.  Let's check them out?

1- My most casual ones are these ones.  I got them a few years ago at Payless Shoes, and of course it was at the end of the season so they were so affordable.

They are SO comfortable...

2- These are my new favorite booties, got them at Kohls the beginning of this year.  They are by Vera Wang.

They are comfortable and it's the perfect heel.

3- These are my "crazy" booties.  Animal prints, I don't even remember where I got them.

The edge is a little skinner than what I like, but they do dress up an outfit.

4- These are my oldest pair of shoes that I own, but I just cannot give them up.  These booties are so comfy and they are black.  I have no clue where I got them, that's OLD they are.

Perfect height...

5-Got them at TJMaxx last year.  I love the details...

The heels are perfect for an everyday wear.

6- And for my last booties, this ones that I got at Sears 2 years ago.  This is my cold months party shoes.

Perfect heels for a party...

and those studs...AH love it.

That's it for my first Shoe Collection post.  What are your favorite?

And how many pairs of black booties do you have?  lol

XOXO,

Nelia

Book Review: Prodigy by Marie Lu

I literally just finished reading this book 20 minutes ago and I knew that I had to write a review right away.  Why?  Because I HAVE to start Champion right away, that's why.  lol

Just in case if you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm currently (and finally) reading Legend Trilogy by Marie Lu.  And yes I know, I should have read these books a VERY long time ago, but I'm down 2 books already and cannot wait to read the last one.  Wait, I'm having mixed feelings right now, I can't wait to read and finish this trilogy but also sad that it will be over soon.

I'll cry later (oh I will) but for now let's get into the review?

No spoilers, I should have stated that in the beginning, but...let's get to it.  The second book starts off with June and Day traveling to Vegas, when they arrive there the unthinkable happens, the Elector Primo dies and his young son Anden takes his place.

June and Day send a made signal to the Patriots, so they can join forces with them.  Day wants the Patriots to help him find his little brother and offer passage to the Colonies.  The Patriots get their signal and agree to help Day but only at one request.  Day and June have to help them kill the new Elector Primo.  Day agrees, the Republic has been nothing but cruel to him and his family and he would do anything to have his brother back to him.

They love the idea that Patriot in charge is a undercover Republic commissioner, who says he wants the Republic destroyed.  They trust him and together they come up with a plan.

June goes first on the plan, to be prisoner and get close the Elector and have him trust her completely, with the lie of a "assassination" to get the Elector to change course of his travels so the Patriots can kill him.  But things change, June realizes that Anden is nothing like his father and that he actually wants to change the Republic.

To not run the whole book, I'm just going to say there is a change plan, traitors, new alliances, family, new discoveries and really heartbreaking news at the end.

Marie Lu did it again, Prodigy's story is amazing, it will keep you a prisoner until you are done reading it.  I loved how in this book so much happens but also a lot of the questions are answered.  But the way she finished this book, keeps you in the edge of your seat.  That last chapter was AMAZING.  Huge cliffhanger, that's all I'm going to say.

So I am off to start reading the 3rd book as I just want to know what the heck is going to happen.  But before I go, yes I totally recommend this book and give it a 5 out of 5 stars.  It blew my mind.

Hope you all had a great weekend, that you rested, had fun, catch up on reading and everything that we try to squeeze in, right?

XOXO,

Nelia

Product Review: Josie Maran Argan Oil

So, I ran out of my Tarte Maracuja Oil and I didn't have the time to go to the mall and pick up another one.  So the second night that I didn't have (I use it in my night time routine), I looked in my skin care cabinet and found the Josie Mara Argan Oil and used it that night.  I wasn't sure how my skin was going to react as it's so sensitive to new products, but miraculously I didn't break out and I continued using.

With my skin not breaking out, I just continued using it every night.  The first time I used it, OMG I did 4 drops and my face was an oil zone. lol
The second night I did two drops and guess what?  It is the perfect amount for my entire face.  After my third use, I noticed a huge difference on my skin, it was smoother and hydrated.

Totally loving this product and will continue to use it, will it replace the my Tarte product?  I'm not sure, but I will probably switch in between.

I totally recommend this product.  I also heard that you can use it in your hair so I will have to give that a try.

Have you tried Josie Maran Argan Oil? Let me know your opinion.

XOXO,

Nelia
