Book Review: Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge

So, I finished another book, the one I started last Friday...less than a week, not too bad with my concussed head. lol

Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge

I had heard a couple people talking about this book but they didn't give away any spoilers, which I am so glad.  Look at that cover...AMAZINGLY beautiful.  I would have picked this book up just looking at the cover.   But the story wasn't disappointing me at all, I loved it.

No spoilers, or at least I'm really going to try.  It was great diving in to this book without knowing exactly was going to happen.

Nyx grew up knowing that she had to married the evil ruler of her kingdom, and she spend all her childhood learning how to kill him and free all her people.  But the day that she married and met her husband things were not what she thought it would be.  She knows that she is suppose to hate him but she somehow falls for him, but at the same time she is torn between him and his shadow prisoner.

I loved how the author describes this world, the places, the Greek mythology, everything. The ending was nothing what I was expecting, I'm not going to lie, the last chapter got me so confused (which could have been my concussion problem), but then I like how everything came together.  For me, it was nice to have an ending where love can conquer everything and that if you truly love someone, there is always a way.

I am so happy to have read this book, this is the kind of book that I would re read again.  There is so much information on the world that can get your imagination run wild.

I totally recommend this book, I gave it a 4 out of 5.  Like I said the world is a little confusing but I like that.  The writing was amazing, great job Rosamund Hodge, can wait to read more of her materials.

XOXO,

Nelia
