Book Review: The Dragon Republic by R. F. Kuang

Wow, let's talk a little about high fantasy books, not my favorite genre of books to read but once in a while I read a book and I really enjoy and then it becomes a series and then I'm stuck in reading the whole series.  And no, it's not because I'm mandatory to read the whole series, it's because I NEED too, once I start I just cannot stop, I'm too deep with the characters, somethings not with the main one but others, as you will see.  But I just need to find out what's going to happen and God forbid if the author kills my favorite character, then MAYBE, MAYBE I'll NOT read the rest of the series.  Or maybe I will and see who else is going to die.  See what I mean, too committed. These authors are mean...just mean.  Okay, now I'm ready for the review...let's do this.

The Dragon Republic by R. F. Kuang

41118857. sy475

In the aftermath of the Third Poppy War, shaman and warrior Rin is on the run: haunted by the atrocity she committed to end the war, addicted to opium, and hiding from the murderous commands of her vengeful god, the fiery Phoenix. Her only reason for living is to get revenge on the traitorous Empress who sold out Nikan to their enemies.

With no other options, Rin joins forces with the powerful Dragon Warlord, who has a plan to conquer Nikan, unseat the Empress, and create a new Republic. Rin throws herself into his war. After all, making war is all she knows how to do.

But the Empress is a more powerful foe than she appears, and the Dragon Warlord’s motivations are not as democratic as they seem. The more Rin learns, the more she fears her love for Nikan will drive her away from every ally and lead her to rely more and more on the Phoenix’s deadly power. Because there is nothing she won’t sacrifice for her country and her vengeance.

-----------------------------------------------------------

After reading The Poppy War I really couldn't wait to read this book, but man I wasn't expecting this whole mess of a book.  That's all I can call it.  Do I still like it? Heck yes I did.  First of all, that magic system in this world is nothing like we have ever seem and it keeps getting better, last book the magic blew my mind, but in this one?  It was another level, we got to see a lot more of it and a lot more different magic for sure.  I freaking love it.

And one of the other things that keeps bringing me back to this world is the war and fighting scenes.  No, I don't like war in real life, 100% against it, wish it didn't exist!!! But in this book and world, man, the way they plan it and discuss it? And the whole thing happening, it keeps me in the edge of my seat, literally jumping.  I for sure would not know who to even start writing something like that...so well written.

World building, that's another well written part in this book, every time the characters are moving from one place to another the descriptions are amazingly written, I always feel like I can image how everything is, even the broken down places and ruins.  SO good.

Characters, I really think Kuang does an amazing job with her characters, so much so that I have fallen in love not with Rin but others.  Is it bad that I felt like she was driving me crazy in this book, for most part she was only thinking of herself first than anyone else or anything else and what the heck, that drove me crazy.  Where is the Rin from the first book, the one I fell in love with?  I wanted that little girl that fought and fought to be on top and fight for everyone else.  She was lost in this book and I sure hope she finds herself in the next one.  And that she realizes there are others that cares about her and she needs to care for them too.

Alright, I'm not giving anything away, why?  Because this is the second book of a fantasy series and you need to read the first book, first of all and second when it comes to fantasy you really can't ruin and book, you need to dive in and just discover it all yourself.

4 out of 5 stars.

Book Review: Christmas Knight by Pam Binder

Let's do this and review another Christmas book?  Yeah, let's go...

Christmas Knight by Pam Binder

48668515. sy475 Colin Edward Penrose, a knight from fifteenth-century Glastonbury, England, must solve the riddle of his family's curse and marry a woman out of time—or lose his ancestral home. With a matchmaker's help, he meets a woman to whom he feels an instant attraction, but he knows the curse makes falling in love dangerous for her.

Madeline Murphy, defense attorney in a prestigious law firm, needs a date for her family's Christmas Eve party. In desperation, she turns to a matchmaker for her knight in shining armor. The man supplied exceeds her wildest fantasy but vanishes without a trace.

A year later she needs a date for her mother's wedding, and she asks the same matchmaker. One problem: In order to find her mystery man, she must travel through time.

-----------------------------------------------------

Alright, I admit, I watched the Netflix Christmas Knight and then I saw this book and saw that it had time travel and come one can you blame me?  I just had to have it and give a try.  Was it the same as the Netflix movie?  Of course not, but did I still enjoy it?  Of course I did.  But did I want it to be more like the movie?  Yeah, I admit that I did.  But overall it was a cute story and I'm glad that I came across it and read it.

So, it all comes down to these matchmakers in our regular time that can time travel and they have been wanting to try to break the fifteenth century Penrose's family curse and they really think they got it now.  So to go to the fifteenth century Glastonbury, England and get Colin, a Knight and bring him to a date on Christmas eve, our time with Madeline, a defense attorney.  They meet for the briefest minute and makes an impact on each other but they both disappear out of each others life. A year later, when Madeline needs a date for her mothers wedding she asks the matchmaker again, but somehow the matchmake does a little more than provide a wedding date.  She ends up traveling back to time and a lot more happens.

They end up meeting but to be together they have to go through a lot more that what they thought it was possible.

Overall the story was quick, but still really enjoyable, don't expect history because you are not going to get it.  It's all about the romance and been Christmas time that's what you get.  The ending was a little rushed but that was to be expected to.  I enjoyed and recommend it for a quick and easy romantic read during this time of the year.

3.5 stars out of 5.

Book Review: A Blind Date for Christmas by Jo-Ann Carson

Its that time of the read where I read lots of holiday reads and let's review some of them.

A Blind Date for Christmas by Jo-Ann Carson

48557625. sy475 Who doesn’t want to find love in their stocking?

This is a story about two star-crossed lovers: Oscar Andersson a cursed barista who cannot find love, and Annabelle Gibson, the witch who intends to fix him.
In Mystic Keep, a small Pacific Northwest town where everything goes bump in the night, there is an enchanted coffee house called The Perfect Brew. Oscar and Annabelle lace every cup of coffee with magic to heal the hearts of their customers and help them make their dreams come true. But their lives are far from perfect.
Oscar Andersson has the Nordic good looks of a movie star. Not only is he a fifteen on a ten-point man-scale of hot; he’s also kind, thoughtful and generous. Oscar is the kind of man every mother dreams her daughter would marry, and every woman dreams of bedding. But he’s not available. It’s not that Oscar doesn’t want to find love, and it’s not that he hasn’t tried. He’s dated blondes, redheads, brunettes, witches, humans, and even gargoyles, but his attraction never turns into love. He’s a serial one-night stand.
Annabelle Gibson is a feisty, red-headed beauty, with a reputation for breaking hearts. While all sorts of men drool at her feet, she’s never found the right one. Oscar’s lukewarm response to her charms shocks her. She falls helplessly in love, and that’s when the trouble really starts. No matter what she does, she can’t get him to see her as anything but a friend.
Belle hatches a plan that can’t go wrong, or so she thinks. She gives a Christmas present he can’t refuse: three blind-dates. The third date will be with her. What could go wrong? By the time it’s her turn, she figures she’ll know what the hex is wrong with him. She'll fix him, and he'll be free to love her.
Meanwhile, Venomilia, the dark sorceress who cursed Oscar, watches them in her crystal ball, ready to step in if Belle comes close to breaking her spell.
This is a clean, sweet romance with a side of magic and mistletoe.

----------------------------------------------------------
This was a really quick read and quite fun too.  It happened during Christmas time and this one had some magic involved has the characters are witches which was something different.
Oscar and Annabelle work at a café where they lace the coffees they make with some magic to warm the hearts of the people they serve and make their wishes to somehow to come true.

Oscar is hot and kind and has every woman falling at his feet but for some reason he is single, he only does one night stands and never, never goes out with the same woman again.

Annabelle is a beauty herself and she falls in love with Oscar right away and the more she is with him the more in love she is with him but Oscar?  He won't even look at her and go out with her. So Annabelle comes up with a plan, she gives Oscar a Christmas present and he cannot refuse, three blind dates.  The third date will be here.

But what she doesn't know is that Oscar has been cursed by a dark sorceress when is was just a teenager, will she be able to figure out and break the spell in time?

The story line was cute and it had lots of potential, but it happened so fast, I felt like I wanted more.  But overall?  It was a cute Christmas book to read, and I recommend it.

3 out of 5 starts.

Nelia

Book Review: Releasing Keanu by Siobhan Davis

Ah, the Kennedy boys, man the more I read about these brothers the more I  am hooked.  I want more of them and I just wish these books never ended.  As you can guess, Siobhan is back with another Kennedy brother and man this one is so freaking amazing, let just get to it.

Releasing Keanu by Siobhan Davis

43261111. sy475
Keanu
Selena played me.
Confirming I wasted years loving someone who didn’t love me back.
It should be easy to move on, but since she dumped me, I can’t shake her from my thoughts, no matter how hard I try.
Dates and random hookups don’t help, because no one measures up to the girl I still love with my whole heart.
When she appears at my door, begging me for help, I can’t turn her away. My protective instincts kick in, and I grasp this second chance with both hands.
This time, I’m determined to open her eyes.
To help her realize she made a mistake throwing what we had away.
To prove our love is the real deal.

Selena
Keanu has it all wrong.
I let him go because I love him too much to continue holding him back.
And I’ve paid for it every day since.
I didn’t think it was possible to miss someone this much, but my entire being aches for him in a way that isn’t healthy.
It’s why I continue to keep my distance even though it’s killing me inside.
No one understands me the way he does, so, when my ugly past returns, threatening to undo years of progress, he’s the first person I run to.
If anyone can keep me safe, it’s the love of my life.
Maybe, this time, I’m strong enough to be the woman he deserves.
If my past doesn’t take me from him first.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Keanu has always been the quite brother and I think that has made at least me wanting to know more about him, he was mysterious and quite and it always left me wondering what kind of man he was.  And let me tell you this book did NOT disappoint me at all, it left me wanting a Keanu for myself :)

Keanu and Selena have been together forever and when Selena decided to end things between them?  Keanu was devastated, and he did the opposite of he has always done, he started hooking up with lots of girls and partying and been someone that he has never been.  It was time to stop been that person and get back to his own person, specially because he can't forget about the one that owns his heart.

Selena knew letting Keanu go was not the right thing to do, but at the same time it was what she needed to find herself and get herself where she is now.  To get past from her past she needs to get better to be in a better place and she knew letting Keanu go so she could get there was the right thing to do.

But what Selena and Keanu didn't expect was for the past to come back and threaten Selena again and there isn't anyone that she trust more to take care of her than Keanu so when she shows up at his door unexpected and out of herself, Keanu doesn't even think twice, he knows how to take care of her and he will do anything to take care of the love of his life no matter the cost.

In this book, we see how protective the  Kennedy's are, but we also get to see how sweet and soft and romantic and patient a Kennedy can be and is and Keanu is this and everything else.  He is the prince charming that we all want, he is hot and sexy but sweet and calm, protective and so much more.  I am so in love with him and I be you will be too.  This is the love story of 2019.  It's not lovey dovey all the way, be prepared for some trigger points because our girl Selena has a very dark past and this girl is not your typical fisty, all fighting in your face girl but the more your read this book the more you get to know her and the more your feel and get to love her.  She is the kind of hero we all need to love and appreciate more.

A million starts for this book.  Siobhan did again, but man I don't know how she is going to top this one off...my heart is still melting for these two.

XOXO,

Nelia

Book Review: Sword and Pen by Rachel Caine

People, this is the final book of The Great Library series, I am happy, I am SAD, so many emotions...let's get to the review :)

Sword and Pen by Rachel Caine

42411362. sy475

The corrupt leadership of the Great Library has fallen. But with the Archivist plotting his return to power, and the Library under siege from outside empires and kingdoms, its future is uncertain. Jess Brightwell and his friends must come together as never before, to forge a new future for the Great Library . . . or see everything it stood for crumble.

*********************************************************

I have been reading this series for years now and now that it's over what am I going to do now that it's over?  I'm so going to miss this world, these characters, Oh these characters, they are so freaking amazing, I fell in love with them from the first book and with each new book I was more and more in love with them, the world building just got better and every time I was reading it, I just wanted to be in there with them.  Alright, let's get to this last adventure with our little crew...

Since our last book, the Great Library has fallen, but the corrupted Archivist is still very well alive and he is plotting and it's up to our dear friends to find him and bring him to justice.  But not all of them will be in that crew, because some are need to protect the city from upcoming threats and others are need to protect the new Archivist.  They are separated but at the same time looking out for each other and that's what it makes them the perfect team to make the Great Library whole again.

The jobs are not easy, Brightwell is dealing with death in life and OMG, my heart was in my throat the whole entire book.  But the twists and turns in this book, I really wasn't expecting them, every time I thought I knew what was coming something else came along and man, I really wasn't ready for ANY of them.

The new future of the Great Library is everything for these friends and they will do ANYTHING to accomplish it and so be ready my friends because everything is possible.

The ending was cruel and unexpected, my heart is broken, is happy, is sad, is twisted, is everything and more.  I still have sooooo many emotions and still don't know how I truly feel about that ending, but with Rachel Caine I should have known that she would have done something like that.  Am I happy, yes I am.  It wrap everything up, but I'm still going to miss this gang a lot.

If you haven't started this series, you are missing so much out; books, friendships, romance, adventure and lots of action, everything you need in books.

What rating did I give?  5 out of 5 stars of course :)

I got a free copy of this book from NetGalley...

Book Review: Aquaman Volume 1: Unspoken Water by Kelly Sue DeConnick

I mean, who doesn't like to read some comics/graphic novels.  It's such a quick read and it seriously brings me a smile to my face every time a read them.  And this next one a perfect quick read:

Aquaman Volume 1: Unspoken Water by Kelly Sue DeConnick

43097836

The tides turn for the Sea King as superstar scribe Kelly Sue DeConnick (Captain Marvel, Pretty Deadly) and red-hot artist Robson Rocha (Teen Titans, Supergirl) take the rudder to steer Aquaman into uncharted waters. In the wake of "Drowned Earth," an amnesiac Arthur washes ashore on a remote island and ends up being cared for by a young woman named Callie, who's just a little too curious for comfort. And as a lifetime of horror movies has taught us, there's something strange going on in this island village. Aquaman needs to come to his senses quickly...or he might wind up sleeping with the fishes instead of chatting with them.

*****************************************

First of all, I cannot wait to continue with this series, this is Volume 1 of Unspoke Water and damn was it good.  It's Aquaman, so of course I knew it was going to be great, but I really didn't know what I was going to get, so we get an amnesiac Arthur and washed ashore on a remote island.  Of course after a while he wants to find out who he truly is, the woman who took care of him, Callie, also wants to meet her mom, so both of them go the adventure that will make Arthur an hero even he still doesn't know who he is.

SO good, I can't wait to see what the next volume will bring, when he will find out who he truly his...I want more answers and of course more adventures.

4 out 5 stars.

Book Review: Bloodwitch by Susan Dennard

The Witchlands...oh man, if you haven't started this series, you need to stop what you are reading right now and start reading the first book.  The magic system of this series is AMAZING, the characters are the best, it's just the best.  I'm so ready to review the latest book, let's do this.

Bloodwitch by Susan Dennard

39863277

Fans of Susan Dennard's Witchlands series have fallen in love with the Bloodwitch Aeduan. And now, finally, comes his story.

High in a snowy mountain range, a monastery that holds more than just faith clings to the side of a cliff. Below, thwarted by a lake, a bloodthirsty horde of raiders await the coming of winter and the frozen path to destroy the sanctuary and its secrets.

The Bloodwitch Aeduan has teamed up with the Threadwitch Iseult and the magical girl Owl to stop the destruction. But to do so, he must confront his own father, and his past.

****************************************************
If you have been reading The Witchlands series, you know you have been dying to read about our Bloodwitch Aeduan and we have FINALLY got his book and OH MAN, it was everything and more than I was expecting, don't you agree?

Aeduan's story continue were we left off on the last book, but we also got everything we wanted, we got his back story, we got his feelings, we got to understand his powers.  Holy crap, it was so much in one book, that once I started, I couldn't stop, I didn't want to stop and I didn't want to end.

Of course we got our favorite Treadwitch Iseult teamed up with Aeduan and these two and my favorite duo, my favorite couple and their story are everything to me, they go through so much together and that ending?  I'm not ready for that to be it, I need more of them and I'm sure we are going to get more, right Susan?

And can we talk about our little magical girl Owl?  That little girl is a beast, she is freaking amazing and the best thing that bring those two together, I need a little Owl in my life and I wouldn't mind her little friend to come along too :)

Okay, Okay...I feel like I have just been gushing about Aeduan and Iseult and Owl but seriously guys, the book was amazing, so much action happens in this book, Aeduan and Iseult fight their way through so much and they just don't give up even when things are at their worst and things really take turns they never thought would come on their way.  They fight armies and raiders and enemies and find unexpected help on the way too.  SO GOOD.

The only thing I have left to say is please read the series and if you haven't read Bloodwitch yet, go ahead and start NOW.

5 out of 5 stars

I got a preview from NetGalley and then went ahead and bought the book after :)

Book Review: The Witch of the Hills by J M Fraser

Alright, time to review a witchy book, one that I read in October, because it was Halloween month and it was all about reading books about witches and scary things, right? Right...let's do this.

The Witch of the Hills by J. M. Fraser

39507839Ancient prophecy compels a young Salem witch to travel through the time-bending dimension we all visit when we sleep. Rebecca Church must recruit a modern-day boy to save this interactive fantasy world from imminent disaster, but her task won't be easy. She may use no more than poetry, illusions, and dreams to convince the chosen one of his destiny, and she can visit him only nine brief times.

When Brian Danahey meets Rebecca at the side of a desolate road, he recognizes her from a recurring nightmare about a girl in great danger. Brian falls in love with her, she disappears, and he comes to believe she's the legendary Witch of the Hills, a colonial maiden exiled to haunt the western prairies for centuries. The quest to free Rebecca takes him through mirrors and time from the sand hills of contemporary Nebraska to the seventeenth-century witch haven she once called home.

But Rebecca doesn't need saving and certainly not three-hundred-plus years ago. The magical dimension that nourishes our souls is on the brink of apocalypse. Today.

*******************************************

This book had a lot of potential, it really did.  I mean, time travel, witches, magic, romance?  It had it all the things that I love in a book, but for me it had something missing and the romance just wasn't there for me.  I'm all about love at first sight but the love between Rebecca and Brian?  It just felt off, it felt too pushy, he met Rebecca once and boom he couldn't forget her at all and the next time they met they were all about making plans for the future and talking about an ancient prophecy.  And once he finds out she's a witch?  He's totally okay with it.

I'm not going to lie, there were somethings that I liked about the book, for example, I really liked his sister, she was the best character of the book in my opinion, yeah and she wasn't in the book that much lol.  Would I recommend this book?  Yeah, if you like a really, really quick romance, then yes totally read it.

I still gave the book a 3 out of 5 stars.

I got a free copy of the book from NetGalley.

Book Review: Bruja Born by Zoraida Cordova

Do you know when you read a book from a series that you totally forgot that you actually love about it?  Yeah, that happened to me when I read Bruja Born, holy molly, I love, love these books....okay, okay...let me get to the review.

Bruja Born by Zoraida Cordova

33918887

Lula Mortiz may be a bruja with healing powers, but after her family's battle in Los Lagos, she feels broken in a way she can't seem to fix. Then tragedy strikes when a bus crash leaves her friends and her boyfriend, Maks, dead. Desperate to reclaim normalcy, Lula invokes a dark spell to bring Maks back. It isn't until she hears that all of the bodies from the crash have gone missing that she realizes something is wrong. Lula has unwittingly raised an army of casi muertos--creatures between the living and dead--and they're hungry for freedom...which they can only achieve if Lula dies.

******************************************************

The Mortiz sisters, if you haven't read the first book in this trilogy, please go do yourself a favor and go read the first book (Labyrinth Lost) now.  And then come back and let's discuss this one.  But back to the Mortiz's sisters, these girls are amazing, first of all, but they are also tight, they will do anything for each other and this book proves it again how much they love each other and how far they go to help each other when needed.

Lula is the oldest sister and after what happened on the last book she hasn't been the same, she is withdrawn from her sisters and from everyone pretty much.  But what she didn't expect to happen was the tragedy that happens to her boyfriend and friends which leaves most of them dead.  She becomes desperate and asks for her sisters help and together they invoke a spell to bring Maks back.  But, when all the dead bodies of all her friends mysteriously disappears, she starts to realize that something is wrong and then she finds out that she has risen an army of casi muertos which are creatures between the living and the dead.  But, that's isn't the worse, the casi muertos will not stop until Lula dies, that way they will be able to live free for ever.

Lula will have to realize that once again will need the help of not only her sisters but her whole family to make the casi muertos go away, but at what cost?  Because there is always a cost, right?

Lula has always been the bad ass sister and she proves it in this book, there is action, family drama and romance and magic,ah...what else could I have asked for it?  I just cannot wait for the next book, because the little sister's power is proving to be so much more than we all thought and I cannot wait to see what troubles she is going to cause lol.

5 out of 5 stars...

I got a free copy of this book from NetGgalley.

Book Review: The Rogue Queen by Emily R. King

The Hundreth Queen Series, I'm at the third book and man, I remember reading the first book and getting sucked in.  And now, I'm totally slowly reading the rest of this series because I don't want it to end.  Let's get to the review of this book...

The Rogue Queen by Emily R. King

35051065. sx318 sy475 Despite the odds, Kalinda has survived it all: Marriage to a tyrant. Tournaments to the death. The forbidden power to rule fire. The icy touch of a demon.

That same demon now disguises itself as Rajah Tarek, Kalinda’s late husband and a man who has never stopped haunting her. Upon taking control of the palace and the army, the demon brands Kalinda and her companions as traitors to the empire. They flee across the sea, seeking haven in the Southern Isles.

In Lestari, Kalinda’s powers are not condemned, as they are in her land. Now free to use them to protect those she loves, Kalinda soon realizes that the demon has tainted her with a cold poison, rendering her fire uncontrollable. But the lack of control may be just what she needs to send the demon back to the darkest depths of the Void.

To take back the empire, Kalinda will ally with those she distrusts—and risk losing those most loyal to her—to defeat the demon and bring peace to a divided nation.

*********************************************

Emily brings us the third book in the The Hundreth Queen series and Oh Man, this series just gets better with each book, the story line gets better, the characters' development gets better, the world build is even better. EVERYTHING is better.  Seriously, if you haven't started this series yet, because you are not sure if you will like it, just read the first book and trust me, you will be hooked.

So, Kalinda is back in this book and after surviving a marriage to a tyrant and tournaments to her death now she literally has to fight for everyone.  She cannot think only about herself, even though it's really tempting, the world is not what it was when things started out for her.  The demon is destroying everything and everyone and he will not stop no matter what.  And Kalinda knows that she has to take back the empire and fight him even if it will cost losing what she loves the most.

I can't wait to see where the next book is going to bring us and Kalinda, where the whole story is going to go, how it will all end.  But I also don't want it do end, which is why I haven't read it yet lol.

Emily create this magical place that I don't want to leave and that I'm totally loving it...

I got a free copy of the book from NetGalley.

4 out of 5 stars for this one...bring on the last book!

Book Review: Sweet Retribution by Siobhan Davis

Alright people, book three of Rydeville High Elite is out and Siobhan did NOT disappoint us, it is everything we wanted and more.  Let's dive into this review...

Sweet Retribution by Siobhan Davis

46875684. sy475
The good thing about hitting rock bottom is I’ve nothing left to lose, and the only way is up.

He thinks he’s destroyed me. Broken me beyond repair.

But he always underestimates women.

All he’s done is reinforced my resolve. I won’t stop until justice prevails and he gets what’s coming to him.

Kaiden is the only light in the darkness. He gives me the strength to continue fighting for the future we both crave—a world where we are free to love one another and make our own choices.

Until then, the charade must continue.

Game on.

----------------------------------------

I don't even know where to start with this book...let me see, I don't want to spoil the many, many things that happen here because come on, you NEED to read the book and be just as surprised as me and love how things developed, right?  But I can tell you that Abby and Kai get the revenge they deserve and more, so much more.

Their love is everything, and I mean EVERYTHING.  These two have the most amazing love story ever.  Well, it's true that their love story is not your typical sweet one, heck no, it started out with hate, revenge, bullying and much more but their love surpassed that and a heck of a lot more.  These two were meant to be each others other half from the beginning.  Their enemies list just kept pilling up but their small group of friends stuck together and fought through it all and that?  That was solid.

Which brings me to my next point of this book, friendships.  Heck, even though this trilogy was about Kai and Abby's love story don't be fouled.  Siobhan focused on friendship a lot, and I loved it, I loved even more when Kai's best friends because Abby's best friends also.   Sawyer and Jackson are freaking hot and every time they were mention we fell in love with them, but not only for their hotness (because heck yes) but also for their loyalty and sometimes for just being there when needed, I want a Sawyer and a Jackson in my life.

In this final book of Abby and Kai's trilogy we see Abby's master mind plan her sweet revenge on bringing down all enemies and damn is this girl doesn't do it.  And of course she does it all with the help of her love and her friends and last bit of family she can trust.

The more I read, the more I wanted, the more I read about the side characters, the more I fell in love with them.  I want a Drew book after this is all done, I'm literally craving more of him, I'm dying to know what is happening to him and Charlie and Jackson and Sawyer.  I mean, I just need more books of all of them.  I have no one else of blame but Siobhan, right? lol

This trilogy was brilliant, this story line was hot, action pact, full of amazing characters and left me craving for me.

5 out of 5 stars.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book.

XOXO,

Nelia
