Book Review: Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead

So, I have just finished reading Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead, which is the 5th book on the Bloodlines series.  And if you haven't started reading Bloodlines and you love vampires and love stories then please do yourself a favor and go, go on, go get that book and start reading.  Did I say that Bloodlines series is a spin off of Vampire Academy series?  Yeah, not only Bloodlines series are great but you also get to see some of the VA characters and see what they are up to.

Silver Shadows picked up right were is was left off on The Fiery Heart. Right on the first chapter we get to know was is going on with Sydney.  She is captured by the Alchemists, because she "sinned" and needs redemption.  At first Sydney fights them, she is cold, hungry but she stands by what she knows and believes.  But as the book progresses, Sydney realizes the only way to get out of there is to play their game and so she asks for forgiveness and she gets out from where is she and is moved to a floor where there are 10 more people like her, on reeducation for some kind of "sin" they committed. There she learns that she is not off the hook right away, they punish anyone that slips from reeducation.  She makes friends who then help her finding a way to contact Adrian and many more things.
Adrian, I was sorry for him but also disappointed and mad at some point.  Thank God he realizes that he was making a mistake and stop was he was doing.  He finally makes contact with Sydney and from there a plan is formed to help break Sydney off from reeducation.  Marcus is a huge help on the rescue together with Eddie, who still blames himself for letting the Alchemists take Sydney.
I don't want to spoil too much of the book, but I will say, the rescue is nothing like you would imaging.  I admit, I was even making some rescue plans in my head and there was so many of them.  lol
The rescue is amazing, but this book doesn't end there.  Sydney and Adrian are chased a lot before they get to go to a save place.
I love Sydney, she is an amazing character, when she believes in something she fights for it with all her life.
In the last chapter you think you are getting a happy ending to this story but nope, you are wrong, there is a huge cliff hanging at the end that will make you happy there is another book coming and mad that it probably will take another year or so to read it. :(  Richelle Mead, can you please hurry up and get the 6th book out?

I hope I didn't spoil anything for anyone that wants to read, but i recommend this book 100% and I CANNOT wait to the next book!

XOXO,

Nelia
